Bacon AT-AT

I needed a follow up to last year's BA-K-47 for our 2nd annual Bacon Day. The Bacon AT-AT was actually what I wanted to build before, but didn't have enough time, so it seemed like the natural choice. The Bacon AT-AT stands 3 ft tall and is made with over 40 lbs of bacon. The body was made from foam, then the bacon was attached. This beast took 21 non-stop hours to build. If you've ever once thought to cook 40 lbs of bacon in your kitchen in one sitting, I can now personally advise against it.

This is an example of the divine food that only Chuck Norris has the right to devour.

I know that I'm supposed to say, "Wow, isn't that cool, mixing two things that I love, bacon and Star Wars."

I'd like say that, but all I can say is, "Wow, what a complete waste of good bacon."

I hope you didn't leave this outside; styrofoam doesn't digest, so any dogs and cats that try to take down the Empire's not so finest could end up lodging a chunk of walker in their intestinal tract; not a fun way to go.

What a fucking waste.

We've only begun to find uses for bacon.

I have no words...

@JessD

To suggest that someone who spent this much time creating something would leave it outside for random dogs and cats to eat is absolutely moronic. Do you complain when other people make sculptures with food? Enjoy your highly fulfilling life of trolling.

April 13, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterDan

With many starving worldwide this stupid playing with food, nonsense.

Star Wars and Bacon...2 great tastes that taste great together!

April 13, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterMatt

Sure, Alessandro, not making this delicious creature would feed thousands of starving people. I completely understand...

No I don't, actually.

Some people waste food for moronic purposes others create lasting works of art. To each it's own. Dumb all the same.

April 13, 2010 | Unregistered CommenterCrazy Whore

Maarten, surely it wouldn't feed thousand, my point is that you should never play with food, I can see everyday on my way to work someone seeking for food in the trash, at the same moment there is someone like the one in the photo above wasting the food that could feed a person that cannot afford food easily like us.

Come on, people! it's great artwork... I'll admit, it's a little creepy... but it's for Bacon Day, and he put a lot of hard work into it. I applaud you, sir!

There are always going to be starving people somewhere in the world, whether he made this statue or not. It's like saying someone is paid too much when there are people without a job. So what?
