German officials in the city of Muelheim took place in a three week endeavor trying to find the missing snake. The pet monocled cobra is highly poisonous, so the fire department cleared everyone from an entire city block. They then removed all of the furniture from the owner's apartment and gutted the place. After still not finding the snake, every window and door in the building was sealed shut and sticky traps were laid. Yes, yes… but how does the story end? The snake was found dead on the rooftop of the apartment. The owner who is 19-years-old and unemployed will unlikely be paying back the 100,000 euros ($133,700) for the public hazard his snake caused.
