I guess when your in the business of taunting a bull, there's always the chance this is how your day will end. After the bull had already been stabbed with several banderillas, it made one last attempt at the matador. The horn pierced Julio's chin, which then, fortunately for him, exited out his mouth. The bull pulled back from the matador just as quickly as it charged him, which is probably the only reason his head is still attached to his body. With blood gushing from his gaping wound, Julio Aparicio made it out of the arena in Madrid. He was rushed to an area hospital where he had two emergency surgeries to save his life.
