Gymkhana Three: L'autodrome de Linas

Like Gymkhana One and Two, this one doesn't disappoint. This time Ken Block and his crew filmed the video at the l'Autodrome de Linas, which is just south of Paris. The track is a 1.58 mile oval with banks as steep as 51 degrees. This slope is more than double that of a standard NASCAR track. Ken had to learn all of the driving physics for the maneuvers at the track. As you can see, he nailed it.

Ken Block Snow Trax STI

If you been with us here at TIFR for any period of time, you know that we're huge fans of Ken Block's work. Well, let's just say, this new creation of his doesn't disappoint us in the least bit. Ken teamed up with Subaru to make the world's fastest cat track vehicle.

The TRAX STI is an experimental automobile that starts with Block's competition-ready Subaru WRX STI before ditching the tires, adding snow cat tracks, and upgrading to some next-level suspension to create the ultimate backcountry shred car. Prepared by Vermont SportsCar, performance modifications include 400-hp and features Group N competition rally dampers made by EXE-TC and a KAPS 5-speed close-ratio dog-engagement gearbox. Under the hood sits a 2.5 liter, 4-cylinder, turbocharged and intercooled STI engine tuned with a MOTEC M800 ECU.

Completing the TRAX STI is a sleigh to be pulled behind the car, designed to hold four snowboarders, their snowboards, and all their gear. The sleigh's body is 100 percent custom designed and constructed of hand-laid fiberglass-though the sleigh. Altogether, this is one car ready for backcountry access and snowboarding.

We would definitely put one of these to good use.

KEN BLOCK - GYMKHANA TWO

This DC promotional video was filmed at the Port of Los Angeles. A rally tuned Subaru Impreza WRX STI tearing up a course, doing stunts, getting shot with paintballs while doing donuts around the shooter. What more can you ask for? (boobs) All I can say is...this is badass.

I'm pretty sure, if I was Ken Block, this is ALL I would do with my time.
