Red Bull Stratos: A Mission to the Edge of Space

Felix Baumgartners is gearing up for his attempt at a 120,000 ft free fall and first time ever supersonic speeds. He will ascend into the stratosphere via hot air balloon while wearing the first non-governmental space suit custom designed for his body. The first man to ever skydive 22 miles across the English Channel, world record BASE jumps from the Millau Bridge (1,125 ft), and Taipei 101 Tower (1,669 ft), Felix is definitely very familiar with danger. This time will be quite a different challenge, considering no human being has ever broken the speed of sound with their own body. It's estimated that at that altitude, Felix will be in free fall for 5 minutes and 35 seconds before his main chute deploys. 23 miles above the Earth's surface, Felix will jump. You good sir are an absolute fucking badass.

Man Flies Up To 15,000 Ft In Balloon Chair

Jonathan Trappe is a man who had a dream. His dream was to take his office chair where no other office chair had been before... the skies over North Carolina. Wearing ski clothing and using an oxygen mask to breath, he endured temperatures down to 5˚F during his flight. He spent two years preparing for his voyage, which included getting his FAA license to fly helium and hot air balloons. What else did it take to accomplish this feat of stupidity bravery? Jonathan spent almost $72,000 to make his 3 hour, 60 mile adventure happen. After the flight he returned his office chair to its daily location, his desk.

Balloon Boy Barfs On The Today Show

We've all heard the story about the balloon boy, and how some are saying it was all a hoax. That little son-of-a-bitch Falcon Heene was set to be our new hero, until it turned out he was just in the attic, and not roaring across the Colorado skies in a flying saucer. Maybe all these interviews and questions have been getting to the 6-year-old, because he just barfed during a Today Show interview, twice. Hey, maybe it was just listening to Merdith Vieira that made him sick.
