Thu, October 22, 2009 Toys from back in the day are really cool. Remember taking your old GI Joes and Star Wars figurines and setting them up all over the house and shooting bombs at each other? Remember tying M80's to them and 'sploding them all over the place? Yeah, that was cool.
This guy Siloff had different ideas for his figurines. Check out the work he has done on these custom steampunk style Star Wars characters. We are sure you will agree that he has some pretty amazing stuff that we would not have the patience for. Plus it's not wrapped in bacon so we would have no interest in making them. Anybody else want to see what would happen with an M80 strapped to it's back?
Make sure to check out the rest of his stuff too. Star Wars isn't all he does. You can find it here.
Tue, September 29, 2009 Top Gear's James May had this cool two story Lego house constructed with the help of 1,200 people. It took 3.3 million plastic Lego blocks to build the house. The design was done by Barnaby Gunning Architects for the show Toy Stories.
James' full scale Lego House was built at the Denbies Wine Estate in Dorking, Surrey, for the BBC program Toy Stories. Someone just asked me why it was destroyed. Well, because I didn't have the $81,000 needed to dismantle it and rebuild it in another location, that's why.
Definitely a shame the Lego house was demolished, but at least all the bricks are being reused at Legoland.
Wed, May 6, 2009 This is a movie I've been waiting my entire life for. Every since I was a child, all my friends made fun of me becuase of my My Little Pony toys. But now it's time to show the world, that the My Little Ponies can indeed succeed at world domination.
